Franklin's 4th of July Parade 2010
It was a VERY HOT day for Franklin's Fourth of July Parade. The Franklin Fire Department led with several trucks - sirens blairing! There appeared to be even more fire trucks this year than last. Area towns such as Bellingham, Norfolk, Medway and Wrentham, among others, were represented. Towns as far as Needham and Holland sent engines.
Of course, a parade isn't a parade without marching bands and there were a lot of them. In addition, there were local cub and boy scouts, floats and clowns. Franklin's Junior Miss Ashley Spencer was on one of the floats. Shriners from Wilmington, driving their miniature trucks, were wonderfully amusing! Our Wrentham neighbor and new U.S. Senator Scott Brown was walking in the parade as well as Congressman Jim McGovern, our State Rep Jim Vallee and State Senator Karen Spilka. SEE THE PHOTOS BELOW.
There are some video clips and once we edit them we will post them. There are many more photographs to be seen on our "Events" Photo Gallery. Below the photos is a link to them.
